Shu Ha Ri comes from the Japanese martial arts: the three stages of mastery. First you obey the form until it is reflex. Then you break the form, consciously, where you have earned the right. Finally you leave the form — because you have become it. Trading mastery follows the same road, and almost everyone tries to skip the first step.
The money is the scoreboard, not the point. The point is owning my time. — THE NORTH STAR, WRITTEN INTO EVERY ACCOUNT
Most traders don't need a better strategy — they need to actually trade the one they have. The gap between your backtest and your account is behaviour, and behaviour is coachable.
A rule-break that paid you is still a bad trade — worse, because now it's tempting. A disciplined loss is still a good trade. We grade both, separately, every time.
Every number in SHU HA RI carries its n, its period, and its out-of-sample validation. Under n=30 we say "insufficient — do not trade this" instead of dressing it up. Honesty is a feature.
SHU HA RI will never tell you what to trade. Your strategy stays yours. We measure it, guard it, and coach the person executing it. The moment a coach starts calling trades, it stops being a coach.
Every trader has hours where they have an edge and hours where they bleed. Finding that window in your own data — and then defending it — is worth more than any new setup you could learn.
Every SHU HA RI account carries a contract — your own rules, in your own words, witnessed by Sensei. The app then holds you to it: the checklist arms your session, the Guardian enforces the gates, and every rule-break is journaled and reviewed. Not punishment. Memory.
